A filling is used to treat a small hole, or cavity, in a tooth. To repair a cavity our experts will remove the decayed tooth tissue with Minimally Invasive Concept and then fill the space with a composite tooth colored material. Dental amalgam fillings (silver) may release small amounts of mercury in the form of a vapor (gas), depending on the number and age of existing fillings, and actions such as tooth grinding and gum chewing. When an amalgam filling is removed, patients and healthcare providers may experience a temporary increase in exposure to mercury vapor. In order to avoid exposition we use Safe Mercury Amalgam Removable Technique (SMART). Ask us more about it! By
